alloy frames?

i got hold of an alloy frame, sand cast in the 1970's by lynx, what are your opinions on alloy???to light? or vibrate? do you own any? what kind of finishes can ya have on them? :confused: or have i just wasted my money?? gonna build from scratch..

my first ever casts were alloy, nuffin wrong with em... vibration depends on how its set etc, easy to fix, they do sound different though...lol.
should be fun building it up...enjoy ;)

as far as the weight, i like heavy machines but my wife prefers them light, so that is just a matter of preference
