this is my first complete build frame made from flat steal,sweet,and a alittle help from a mig machine this is also my first set of coils worth putting on something covered them with hemp rope runs good at 6.5 v with a duty of 44% cant wait to start my next one

cover are a nice touch although you might wanna seal em up.
im pickin you've learnt a bit from the build in terms of geometry etc. for a first i gotta say not too bad... but room for refinement and learning.
I'd suggest before kicking into the next, refine that sukker some more, set it correctly and build up your spring deck, tinker with your springs and contact, throw out the o-ring (when learning to build they will only hinder your learning), swap out the coil screws etc.

THe contact screw looks like steel... Looks cool but, i dont like the hemp.

Much better than my first build, or my second, or my third...that's about as far as I've got so far! Seriously though, good looking, but I agree with Voodoo, I don't like hemp.

not bad like inks said rip it apart and try other stuff
and ditch the brass coil screws

So thats what im doin wrong!!!! ;)
Personally i like the hemp!! i'd give it a lil char and then a nice clear thick coating...a decent seal like that would add to the look.

thanks for the input guys like everything im learning as i go and all of you have helped alot from reading past post im going to do some more work to it any suggestions on what to coat the coils with to seal them up

I'd bring that a bar back a bit, maybe use a longer abar. The abar should be over the rear coil completely. And yeah, ditch the angle on that frong spring. A more relaxed angle can also give you better "power band" with the voltage. btw, I like them coil covers!!
