I have a question? I am curently tattooing in Scotland, Europe, and lets say I move back to the States, MD, Maryland, and I want to aquire a liscense do I have to go through all the BS or because I have been tattooing for the last 3-4yrs in the EU, can I apply for one off the bat??? I mean I can always go and work under the shops Liscense I guess...... I just don't want to go through the 1000 hrs of Barber School and so on needed to do so, or can I get grandfathered in, or apply as an liscensed artist already since I have been tattooing for the last few years??

Cheers,

Jeff

I'd give the board of health (or whatever regulatory agency that issues licences) a call, express your intrest in opening a business there, fill them in on your experience as licensed artist in the EU, and inquire about what you need to get your license. No answer is better than one straight from the actual source...call them

Now if we were talking here in Australia, I'd be recommending a chat with the local biker club first. :p

Dodgee has a point....check with the locals to see if they you there...also don't open next-door to an existing shop (our competitor moved 5 doors down from us!) A big part of getting a license will be getting a building up to code...hope you either have money or Know How

Dodge:

I have friends that are in the Hells Angels so I am not worried:D

And Under:

I do have some sense of what is cool and not cool sir.... and I personaly would never want to open another shop near one that is existing already, as what is the point.... my clients will come to me anyway no matter where I am so there is no need.......

And yeah man I have exstensive knowledge in the electrical field as well as just about every trade I have ever worked in sir, to include, Plumbing, Mansonary, Carpentry, Drywall, etc..etc... and all my firends own ther own companies as well in the related feilds so I will be doing alot of trading...LOL My time for theirs of course.... and mine is more exspensive!!! Ha

I was also thinking of building my own place, as I also am wanting a Gallery and a frameshop in it as well...... as a good friend is a master framer and I also have friends that are fantasic photographers as well so I want to incorparate a Art Gallery for that purpose as well into the building......so we can all do our own things, and with the possibility of selling all forms of art as well!

And yeah I have been saving just a bit of...........Mr Green:mrgreen:

Cheers, guys
